AUGUST 1, 2007 (NEW YORK, NEW YORK) Vox Novus releases a double CD of the 60 x 60 Project with one minute compositions from composers throughout the world representing an international cross-section of contemporary music. It is presented in conjunction with a CD release party. The CD Release party will take place at KGB Bar on 85 East 4th Street, August 1st 2007, from 7 to 9 PM. Founded by composer Robert Voisey, the 60 x 60 is a project containing 60 compositions from 60 different composers where each composition is 60 seconds (or less) in duration. Highlighting the work of a great many composers, the 60 x 60 testifies to the vibrancy of contemporary composition by presenting the diverse array of styles, aesthetics and techniques being used today. The CD includes works from: Eve Beglarian, Steve Betts, Daniel Goode, Morritz Eggert, Karlheinz Essl, David Gamper, Robert Gluck, David Gamper, Robert Gluck, Polly Moller, Maggi Payne and Allen Strange and more. The 60 x 60 operates as both a concert performance and a CD. The Project is now in its fifth year. Works on the double CD represent the years 2004 and 2005 in the project history. The first CD, from 2003, was released on Capstone Records. The 60 x 60 has received approximately 70 performances in cities worldwide, including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, St. Louis, London, Sydney, Munich, Bucharest, Lille and others. The 60 x 60 has been featured or received airplay on Soundcheck (WNYC), Afternoon New Music (WKCR), The Sculpted Word (WBAR), Foldover (WOBC), Martian Gardens (WUMA), and Kalvos and Damien's New Music Bazaar (WDGR).
